Assemblywoman Alixon Collazos-Gill issued the following statement on the death of Rep. Donald M. Payne, Jr.:
“I am deeply saddened by the news today of the loss of Congressman Donald Payne, Jr. He and his late father were both trailblazers to the community in which they served. I was humbled when he honored me for my work in the community back in 2016. Brendan and I send our deepest condolences to Representative Payne’s family, friends, staff, and constituents who he cared so deeply about throughout his career of service.”
