Lee Forrester, who served as a Superior Court Judge from 1992 until his retirement in 2014, died on August 30. He was 70. Forrester spent nearly 15 years as a public defender before Gov. Jim Florio nominated him to the bench.
Ira Ehrenkranz, a former member of the New Jersey Film Commission, died on September 3. He was 87. Ehrenkranz served on the West Orange zoning and library board and as a member o the New Jersey Board of Mortuary Science.
Betty Hoser, a former Republican county committeewoman in Harmony and a retired public school teacher, died on September 5. She was 100.
Lynne Rose, a Brigantine Republican Club member and retried school secretary, died on August 30. She was 77.
William Seaman, a former Lambertville Planning Board member, died on August 29. He was 85.
Carol Rimm, a retired public school teacher who was part of a prominent Atlantic County political family, died on August 4. She was 83. Her late husband, Sigmund, served as a Margate city commissioner for 32 years until retiring in 2007.
Walter Zapoluch, a former Jersey City police officer who spent 32 years as a Hudson County Sheriff’s Office lieutenant, died on September 3. He as 70. A U.S. Army veteran, he owned Zap’s Bar and Grill in Jersey City.
