Lita Colligan, a social justice advocate who housed anti-war protestors in her home and worked on the Civil Rights movement in the 1960s and 1970s, died on July 16. She was 92. Before moving to Lambertville, she worked at the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare and created the Office of Telecommunications to help social service agencies begin to use technology.
Kay Myers, who spent 41 years as a reporter for the Bridgeton/Millville News, died on July 23. She was 81.
Alan Sokolow, who served as executive director of the Eastern Conference of the Council of State Governments, died on July 23. He was 78.
Robert Quinlan, who served on the Bradley Beach Planning and Zoning boards, died on July 19. He was 82.
Clement Wasleski, a former Margate Zoning and Planning board member, died on July 20. He was 88.
