Adam Hill, who grew up in Rockaway and later won public office in California as a San Luis Obispo County Supervisor, died on August 6. He was 54. Hill was a college professor at Cal Poly before running for office in 2008.
Arthur Brewin, a former Clementon mayor and councilman, died on September 4. He was 91. Brewin spent a decade as a Clementon school board member and was mayor from 1991 to 1999. He served in the National Guard for seven years.
John Kapferer, who was awarded four Purple Hearts for his service as a U.S. army officer in Vietnam, died on April 17. He was 75. Kapferer served on the Robbinsville planning and zoning boards.
Cynthia Anderson, who served as Point Pleasant Beach Tax Collector, died on May 7. She was 84.
David Ciaudelli, a former member of the Woodcliff Lake Planning Board, died on August 31. He was 51.
Ron Kennedy, who served on the Winfield Park Planning Board, died on September 4. He was 76.
William Corvino, a former Republican county committeeman in Audubon, died on September 4. He was 88. Corvino was a U.S. Army veteran.
