Martin “Champ” Goldman, a former Assistant Essex County Prosecutor, died on May 21. He was 78. His late father, Maclyn Goldman (D-West Orange), represented Essex County in the New Jersey State Senate from 1966 to 1968.

Edmund Ardler, a Jersey City native who spent as a councilman and town supervisor in Greenville (New York) died on May 16 after a short battle with COVID-19. He was 88.
