William Boyan, who served 20 years as a New Jersey Workers’ Compensation Court Judge, died on May 5.  He was 92.  Boyan was a U.S. Navy veteran who began is law career as a clerk to Appellate Court Judge John J. Francis.  He was named legal assistant to New Jersey Attorney General Grover Richman in 1957.   He later served as deputy attorney general during Gov. Robert Meyner’s administration.   He later served as the assistant Mercer County counsel.

Rose Marie Malaker, a former Clinton Township councilwoman, died on May 7.  She as 91.

Cynthia Anderson, a former Point Pleasant Beach municipal tax collector, died on May 7.  She was 84.

Yolanda Mongillo, a former Burlington City Democratic county committeewoman, died on May 5.  She was 93.

Sylvia Mundy, a Hillsborough resident who had served as Commissioner of the Washington state Employment Security Department, died on April of complications from COVID-19.  She was 83.  An educator, Mundy worked for the mayor of Washington, DC and for state government in Georgia.
