Bill Leonard, a former mayor of Fair Haven, died on May 5.  He was 82.  Leonard spent 35 years with the U.S. Postal Service and was the Holmdel Postmaster before becoming mayor in 1998.

Brett Hartman, a Bergen County native who went to Harvard Law and clerked for the U.S. Court of Appels for the 9th Circuit, died on April 30.  He was 34.

William Miller, a member of the Brick Municipal Utilities Authority for 37 years, died on May 4 of complications related to COVID-19.  He was 89 and would have turned 90 on May 18.  A U.S. Army veteran, Miller was honored in 1986 with the naming of the William Miller Water Treatment Plant in Brick.

Fred Idenden, a former Colts Neck school board member, died on May 2. He was 93.

Carlo Capista, a who worked for the Brick Municipal Utility Authority, died on April 29.  He was 77.  Capista served in the New Jersey National Guard and was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 68.

Donald McGinn, a former vehicle maintenance supervisor at the Brick Municipal Utilities Authority, died on May 6.  He was 91.  McGinn was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
