Frank Burr, a former Ho-Ho-Kus Board of Education president and chairman of Valley Hospital, died on April 20 after a ten-year battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was 83. His father, Frank W. Burr, served as mayor of Teaneck from 1970 to 1974 and spent six years on the school board.
John Gallo, a fire commissioner in Buena for 34 years, died on April 27. He was 65.
Rosemary Hegarty, who spent 25 years as administrator for Judge Eugene Serpentelli, died on May 1 from complications related to COVID-19. She was 89.
Vincent Brady, a former Toms River school board candidate and an active observer of local school issues, died on May 1. He was 88. Brady was a U.S. Army veteran.
Herbert Fischer, a former member of the Hardyston Planning Board, died on May 3. He was 89. Fischer was a U.S. Marine in the Korean War.
