John Obeji, the uncle of Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh, has died of complications from COVID-19.
Robert Mangino, a former West Orange councilman, died on April 12. He was 84. He was elected councilman in 1970 in the same election that future mayor Samuel Spina won a council seat for the first time. He served one term.
Jeanne Mullaney, a Republican county committeewoman from Middletown, died on April 12. She was 74. She was the wife of former Superior Court Judge John T. Mullaney.
Carolyne Saltzbart, a former president of the Colts Neck Baord of Education and Colts Neck’s representative to the Freehold Regional School Board, died on April 8. She was 85.
Edward Cortright, the former chief financial officer of Rutherford and the Board of Education treasurer, died on April 9. He was 74.
Shirley Goff, who worked at the Maurice River Township Hall, died on April 7. She was 85.
