Helen Rhoades, a former Republican State Committeewoman from Cumberland County, died on March 28.  She was 80.  Rhoades chaired the Vineland Housing Authority and was the Republican nominee for Cumberland County Clerk in 1979.

Richard Barber, Sr., a Trenton native who served as regional administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration under President Jimmy Carter and as deputy secretary for procurement under Pennsylvania Gov. Robert Casey, Sr., died on April 3.  He was 79.  Barber returned to New Jersey to serve as director of purchasing for the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Louise Davidson, a former member of the Democratic Club of Passaic City, died on April 5.  She was 89.

Dorothy Crammer, who served as Long Beach assistant township clerk and planning board secretary, died on December 3, 2019.  She was 95.  Her family announced her death this week.
