Maxine Colm, a former president of the Haddon Township Board of Education, died on November 21.  She was 92.  Colm was an original trustee of Camden County Community College and served in Gov. Thomas Kean’s administration at the New Jersey Department of Higher Education.

Joseph Harvanik, a former Linden councilman, died on November 22.  He was 85.  Harvanik was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

James Ward, a former North Arlington councilman, died on November 17.  He was 81. Ward was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and served nineteen years as a councilman.

Joseph Albenisi, a former Netcong councilman, died on November 21.  He was 66.

Robert Strechay, a former Parsippany-Troy Hills business administrator, has died at age 78 after a thirteen-year fight against Parkinson’s Disease.  Strehay served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He served as administrator under Mayor Mimi Letts and then as Director of Utilities under Letts and Jamie Barbiero.
