A celebration of the life of Candy Straight, who passed away in June, will be held at 3 PM on Tuesday at the Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton.

Gail Gordon, who was Straight’s closest friend, will lead a group of speakers that include former Gov. Christine Todd Whitman, U.S. Senator Susan Collins of Maine, Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, and New Jersey Turnpike Authority Commissioner Ron Gravino.  Laura Lewis, who was Straight’s business partner in her film production company, and her cousin, Heather Carr, will also speak.

First Lady Tammy Murphy will also attend the celebration, which will be streamed at: https://venue.streamspot.com/event/Mjc0NzcxMw==.  The password is Straight2021

Straight, an investment banker and film producer, was a national advocate for the election of women to public office.

Funeral services were private.  Donations can be made in her honor to the Candace L. Straight Legacy Fund at the Center for American Women and Politics at Rutgers University. Please mail checks to the Rutgers University Foundation, PO Box 193, New Brunswick, NJ 08903-0193, or click HERE.
