A celebration of the life and legacy of former Gov. Jim Florio will be held at 2 PM on Monday, October 3.

Florio, a former assemblyman, congressman and governor of New Jersey, died on Sunday at age 85.

The ceremony is open to the public and will be held at the Dennis Flyer Theater at Lincoln Hall at the Blackwood campus of Camden County College.   Attendees are asked to RSVP. Click HERE.

The late governor’s law firm, Florio, Perrucci, Steinhardt, Cappelli, Tipton & Taylor,  is hosting the tribute.

Gov. Phil Murphy ordered U.S. and New Jersey flags to be flown at half-staff for two weeks in honor of his predecessor.

Florio was serving as the assistant Camden city solicitor when he won a State Assembly seat in 1969.  He was elected to Congress on his second try in 1974 and governor on his third try in 1989.
