Catholic leader dies

William Bolan, the former director of the New Jersey Catholic Conference, passed away on October 25.  He was 75.

The Hopewell resident served headed the Catholic Conference from 1984 to 2006.  Before that, he served as a deputy attorney general of New Jersey.  He had also served as an assistant Essex County Prosecutor.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Sue, and two brothers.
