Ralph Eastman, a former Roseland councilman, died on December 5.  He was 73.  A physician, Eastman served as a councilman from 1986 to 2003.

Jack Doherty, a Morris Plains councilman from 2015 through 2017, died on December 5.  He was 74.  Doherty served as CFO for the municipalities of Rockaway Borough, Morris Plains and Denville.

Stella “Tekkie” Doughty, who worked as a court stenographer for Judge Harry Adler, died on December 5.  She was 87.  Adler was the first Cumberland County Democrat to win a seat in the New Jersey State Assembly.

Sylvia Fertig Levin, who worked as a legal assistant in the Union County Prosecutor’s office, died on December 4.  She was 100.

Betty Inglis, a former Republican county committeewoman from Dover, died on December 7.  She was 97.  She served as a commissioner of the Dover Housing Authority.

Joseph Remeley, who served as a Groveville (Hamilton Township) Fire Commissioner, died on December 5.  He was 77. Remely, a U.S. Navy veteran, worked as the New Jersey State Department of Corrections for 38 years.

Emil Fortunato, a former member of the Neptune Republican Club, died on December 6.  He was 98.

Clifford Anderson, a former Burlington County Occupational Training Center board member, died on December 3.  She was 95.
