All vote-by-mail primary elections are still on the table in New Jersey.
“There’s no update on July 7th,” Gov. Phil Murphy said Monday.
Murphy ordered the state’s primaries be delayed from June 2 to July 7 on April 8, citing the delay of the Democratic National Committee’s convention as the reason.
The delay gave Murphy a little more than a month of extra runway to prepare for the primary.
Few details about how the state’s primaries will be conducted have emerged in the 19 days since the governor announced the primary’s delay.
“We’ll give you an update, I promise you, as soon as we get it,” the governor said.
