Issues with vendor software caused an hours-long service interruption at the Motor Vehicle Commission Monday.
The outage was initially reported by the agency as “network connection issues” affecting MVC locations statewide not long after they opened and caused a service interruption that lasted until nearly 1 p.m.
All MVC locations in the state apart from a licensing center in Edison have resumed service.
The Edison location will remain closed until at least tomorrow due to a power outage.
Residents have faced long lines, including some that stretched for more than a mile, and long wait times that have abated little since the agency reopened in early July.
