The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday announced that it would hear an appeal by Bridget Anne Kelly, one of two former Gov. Chris Christie staffers convicted over Bridgegate.
Kelly’s attorneys argues that federal prosecutors misapplied criminal statutes in her case.
It isn’t clear what aspect of Kelly’s case the court is set to reexamine.
The former staffer is due to begin her 13-month prison sentence in a few weeks’ time.
Bill Baroni, the other staff convicted over Bridgegate, is currently serving an 18-month prison sentence.
