Helmy Departure: Brian P. Stack

State Sen. Brian P. Stack, the mayor of Union City,  issued the following statement today on the departure of George Helmy as Gov. Phil Murphy’s Chief of Staff:

“It is with deep gratitude and appreciation that I address the departure of George Helmy from his role as Chief of Staff for Governor Murphy. George has been an invaluable asset to the administration, playing a crucial role in the successes and achievements of Governor Murphy’s tenure.

During his time as Chief of Staff, George’s unwavering commitment to public service and his tireless dedication to the residents of New Jersey have been evident. He has been a driving force in advancing the interests of Hudson County and has played a vital role in navigating the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

George’s exceptional leadership has been instrumental in shaping policies that have positively impacted the lives of countless individuals throughout the state. His ability to collaborate effectively with legislators, stakeholders, and community members alike has fostered a strong sense of unity and progress.

Beyond his professional contributions, George has also demonstrated remarkable compassion and empathy.
