Brianna Earle leaves governor’s office for pharma post

Brianna Earle, who had served as Gov. Phil Murphy’s deputy chief of staff for outreach, has been named regional lead for state government affairs covering the northeast from Novo Nordisk, a Danish pharmaceutical company.

She joined the Murphy administration as director of public engagement in 2018 after serving as operations director for the 2017 Democratic coordinated campaign.  She joined the governor’s senior staff in 2022 after Deb Cornavaca left to take a top post at the New Jersey Education Association and became Murphy’s liaison with labor unions, advocacy groups, faith and community leaders.

Earle began her political career as a part-time organizer for SEIU 32BJ and as an intern for New Jersey Working Families.  She was the deputy Latino base vote director for the New Jersey Democratic State Committee in 2012 and worked on the communications staff of the Northeast Regional Council of Carpenters.  Earle was a senior associate at Kivvit, one of the state’s top public affairs firms, before joining the 2017 campaign.

On Monday, Murphy announced that Commissioner of Transportation Diane Guttierez-Scaccetti will become his chief of staff following George Helmy’s departure at the end of the month.
