Pete Sheridan, a former aide to Gov. Chris Christie and the executive director of a super PAC that spent $7.5 million attacking U.S. Senator Bob Menendez, has joined Red Maverick Media, a political consulting firm.

The Harrisburg-based company is looking to “drastically” expand its footprint “into New Jersey and throughout the northeast.”  Red Maverick has worked on numerous Republican campaigns, including Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan.

Sheridan is a former executive director of the New Jersey Republican State Committee, and worked for Christie in the governor’s office and as Christie’s post-gubernatorial transition aide last year.

“Pete Sheridan is one of the top political operatives in New Jersey and we are excited that he has joined the Red Maverick Media team,” partner Ray Zaborney said. “His knowledge, experience and extensive network will be a great addition to our team and benefit to our clients.”

Zaborney also heads Maverick Strategies, a Harrisburg lobbying firm.
