Three progressive leaders from the anti-nuclear weapon and gun control communities have endorsed political science professor Brigid Callahan Harrison for the Democratic nomination for Congress in New Jersey’s 2nd district.
Rev. Robert Moore, the longtime executive director of the Coalition for Peace Action, has announced his support of Harrison, along with CeaseFire NJ legislative director Delores Phillips and Princeton University professor Frank von Hippel, the former chairman of the Federation of American Scientists and a former White House Office of Science and Technology assistant director for National Security.
Brigid brings more than just a deep understanding to policy, her positions on the issues are clearly in line with our values and priorities – and that is why we are supporting her,” Moore, Phillips and von Hippel said in a joint statement. “This is the time when we all must dig deep, research the candidates, and ask questions. And for the sake of the Democratic party and our progressive stances on issues, we must come together to support Brigid.”
