Rep. Nellie Pou (D-North Haledon) announced two staff moves in her district office today, bringing back one familiar name and promoting another longtime staffer to a new role.
Ian Godfrey will be Pou’s new district director, taking over for Carol Cuadrado, who is now the associate vice president for government relations at William Paterson University. Godfrey previously served in the same role under Pou’s predecessor, the late Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-Paterson), and more recently worked as chief of staff to Passaic Mayor Hector Lora.
Working under Godfrey as deputy district director will be Helen Torres, who was previously Pou’s district scheduler. Torres is a longtime member of Pou’s staff, spending nearly two decades with Pou during her time in the State Assembly and State Senate.
“Together, Ian and Helen will serve as excellent liaisons to our local communities, ensure strong coordination with our Washington team, and maintain the high standard of constituent service our residents expect and deserve,” Pou said in a statement.
