Pascrell returned to House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has picked Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-Paterson) to serve on the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee for another term.

Pascrell, who won a 13th term in Congress last month with 66% of the vote, has attracted attention recently after filing legal complaints in five states seeking to disbar  Rudy Giuliani and 22 other lawyers helping President Donald Trump challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election.

“On the Steering and Policy Committee, we will work to meet the crisis at hand, never losing sight of the millions of Americans desperate for help because of Trump’s failed COVID-19 response,” Pascrell said.  “We will stand for sustained pandemic support, affordable health care, organized labor, clean government, and economic and racial equality.”

Pascrell is also likely to return to the chairmanship of the House Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee, where he is expected to continue his bid to force Trump to release his federal income tax returns.

“Ours will be an aggressive agenda that works For The People and proves that government can be a force of good in the lives of working Americans,” said Pascrell. “As part of the Steering Committee, I will work urgently every day to enact President-elect Biden’s agenda to bring relief to our nation and build back better the damage of the past four years.”
