Rep. Bill Pascrell said he’ll likely lend some financial aid to Democrats seeking seats in the Assembly this year, though the extent of Pascrell’s potential largesse remains unclear, even to the man himself.
“I haven’t even thought about it, to be honest with you, but we’re always helpful,” Pascrell said when asked whether he’d help Democratic incumbents and challengers this year.
At the end of March, Pascrell had more than $1.7 million in his war chest.
That number is almost certain to have increased in the second quarter.
He won re-election last year by more than 40 points in a district that has 132,417 more registered Democrats than it does Republicans.
It’s unlikely that he’ll need the money.
