Andy Kim and Tammy Murphy will face off in a debate in the New Jersey Senate race in May in a forum aired on NBC 4 New York, NBC 10 Philadelphia, Telemundo 62, and Telemundo 47.
The debate, which will be held in person at the NBC studio at 30 Rockefeller Center in New York, will get a statewide TV audience on a major network affiliate, according to NBC 4 New York spokesman John Durso, Jr.
The first debate was sponsored by the New Jersey Globe, On New Jersey, and Rider University on February 18.
Two other candidates, activist Patricia Campos-Medina and former Newark school board member Lawrence Hamm, were not invited to participate in either debate.
Durso said they will also host a Republican primary debate this year.
Three Republican Senate contenders — Curtis Bashaw, Christine Serrano Glassner, and Alex Zdan — will participate in their first debate on Wednesday April 3. The debate will be sponsored by the New Jersey Globe, On New Jersey, Save Jersey and Rider University.
