Lance, Pallone to question Zuckerberg

Facebook CEO will testify before congressional panel

Two New Jersey congressmen will be in the limelight next week when Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg appears before the House Energy and Commerce Committee.

Rep. Frank Pallone (D-Long Branch) is the ranking minority member on the committee and Rep. Leonard Lance (R-Clinton) is a senior Republican member of the panel.  If Republicans hold their House majority in November, Lance would be in line to chair the Communications & Technology subcommittee — if he gets re-elected ; if Democrats take the House, Pallone would likely become the new full committee chairman

“There are many important questions the American people want answered concerning the security of their private information and what steps Facebook is taking to protect consumer data and the integrity of its platform.  These issues are of paramount concern for millions of Americans utilizing their social network,” said Lance.  “I appreciate Mr. Zuckerberg’s willingness to testify before our committee and I look forward to his answering our questions on April 11th.”
