Gottheimer calls for Trump removal

Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-Wyckoff says that President Donald Trump should be removed from office “by whatever legal means possible.”

“Now, more than ever, we need our nation to heal. In only thirteen days, with a new administration, we will have that opportunity,” Gottheimer said.  “But we cannot ignore the actions of President Trump to obstruct our democracy, encourage violence, and threaten our security. That is why he should be removed from office by whatever legal means possible.”

With Gottheimer on board, all ten members of the New Jersey House delegation are now on record as supporting Trump’s ouster.

“There must be accountability for one branch of government encouraging an attack on another, all in the name of undermining an election,” said Gottheimer, a three-term congressman from North Jersey.  “In the weeks ahead, I urge our nation to unite, regardless of party, in our fight to beat the pandemic, rebuild our economy, and protect America from threats at home and abroad.”
