Rep. Andy Kim (D-Marlton), who ran one of the best campaigns of 2018 – the fifth-closest race in the country where an incumbent was defeated – has added a veteran of Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign to help boost his bid for re-election to a second term in Congress.
Andrew Mamo will be Kim’s communications director.
Mamo started 2019 as a national press assistant for the Buttigieg campaign and became the chief of staff of Buttigieg’s communications operation. A graduate of the University of Chicago – and the scion of New Jersey natives – Mamo was an intern at The Tuesday Company, SKDKnickerbocker, and the U.S. Senate Democratic Leadership Office before joining the Buttigieg campaign.
Kim was the only member of the New Jersey congressional delegation to endorse Buttigieg for president.
Yoli Navas has joined Amy Kennedy’s congressional campaign as press secretary.
Navas has worked at BerlinRosen and New Paradigm Strategy Group, and as an intern at America’s Voice and the Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition.
