Hirsh Singh won the Cumberland County Republican line for U.S. Senate Friday.
Singh defeated Rik Mehta, Natalie Rivera and Tricia Flanagan with 54% of the votes.
Mehta ran 20 votes behind Singh, who got 36 votes.
Rivera had nine votes in her favor, and Flanagan had six.
Cumberland held an electronic vote after Republican County Chairman Michael Testa cancelled the in-person convention over the threat posed by COVID-19.
The win in Cumberland is Singh’s third in the intra-party contest. He also has lines in Ocean and Cape May Counties.
Mehta has won endorsements in Burlington, Camden, Gloucester, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Monmouth, Passaic, Salem, Somerset, Union and Warren counties.
