The Republican-leaning Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) has endorsed U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance for re-election in New Jersey’s 7th district.
“America faces big challenges and it’s critical that candidates address them openly and with concrete solutions during the midterm elections,” said James Dozier, the executive director. “When it comes to growing our economy, bolstering our national security, and preserving our climate, voters and candidates are embracing clean energy.”
CRES endorses Republican officeholders who push for clean energy legislation. Dozier is a former GOP operative.
Lance faces a challenge from Democrat Tom Malinowski, a former Obama state department official. Two recent public polls put this race in a statistical dead heat.
