The Berkeley Township Democratic Club endorsed Rep. Andy Kim (D-Moorestown) for U.S. Senate, boosting the three-term congressman’s chances to win the Ocean County organization line at the county convention on Sunday.

Kim received 92.3% of the votes of the club earlier this week, according to Kia Phua, the club president.

“We are proud to stand behind Andy Kim, as we join many of our club organizations throughout the state of New Jersey, in support of his candidacy for U.S. Senate,” said Phua.  “His track record speaks for itself, as his commitment to the people of New Jersey is second to none.”

Kim represented Berkeley Township for four years before Ocean County was redistricted out of NJ-3.

“He has been a voice for the people of Ocean County, where many of our elected officials have left us behind,” Phua stated.  “When Andy wins the election and becomes a U.S. Senator, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position that will benefit all New Jerseyans.”

Kim received the endorsement of the Toms River Democratic Committee on Friday, and Kim has already won endorsements from the Township of Ocean Democratic Municipal Committee, Waretown (Township of Ocean) Democratic Club, Lacey Democratic Municipal Committee, Lacey Democratic Club, Stafford Democratic Municipal Committee, Democratic Club of Stafford Township, Barnegat Democratic Municipal Committee, Barnegat Democratic Club, Point Pleasant Beach Democratic Municipal Committee, Point Pleasant Beach Democratic Club, South Toms River Democratic Municipal Committee, South Toms River Democratic Club, Beachwood Democratic Club, Manchester Democratic Club, Democratic Coalition of Ocean County, and Surf City Democratic Municipal Committee.
