Atlantic City councilman endorses Harrison

By David Wildstein, December 18 2019 10:05 pm

Atlantic City Councilman Kaleem Shabazz will support Brigid Callahan Harrison for the Democratic congressional nomination to challenge Rep. Jeff Van Drew.

“I am going to endorse my good friend, Brigid Callahan Harrison,” Shabazz told the New Jersey Globe.  “I have found her to be an exemplary person.  I think she would be an excellent representative for the 2nd district.”

Shabazz, who is also the president of the Atlantic City NAACP, said he was bothered by Van Drew’s defection to the GOP.

“Van Drew kind of lost his way,” Shabazz told the New Jersey Globe.

Atlantic County Freeholder Ernest Coursey also endorsed Harrison today.
