Weeks after admitting to a murder-for-hire plot, Caddle still voted in N.J. election

Sean Caddle, the Democratic political operative who pleaded guilty to a murder-for-hire scheme this week, entered into a plea agreement in late September and then voted by mail in the last general election a few weeks later.

The Sussex County Clerk’s office confirmed that Caddle is a high-propensity voter who participates in most elections, including a Wallkill Valley Regional High School special referendum on September 28, 2021 that came around the same time that he signed his plea deal with federal prosecutors.

Caddle became a forever vote-by-mail voter in 2020.

Caddle has admitted to hiring a career criminal from Connecticut to murder Michael Galdieri, a Hudson County political operative and the son of former State Sen. James Galdieri (D-Jersey City), on May 22, 2014.

The Sussex Clerk’s office also confirmed that while Caddle’s mailing address is in Hamburg, he is actually a resident of Hardyston.

New Jersey election laws permit Caddle to vote until his sentencing.
