Eisha Misra, a veteran of Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaigns who started out in politics working on Upendra Chivukula’s 2014 congressional campaign when she was in college, has joined Publitics, a top New Jersey-based political consulting firm run by Matt Krayton and Henry de Koninck, as a chief strategist.

A New Jersey native, Misra most recently served as digital engagement director for the U.S. Department of Labor, where he was in charge of Labor Secretary Marty Walsh’s online presence.

“Eisha brings a deep well of experience at the highest level of government and politics to our team in the digital space and beyond,” said Krayton.  “She will play a critical role in continuing to innovate and deliver results for clients.”

Misra had worked as Biden’s New Hampshire digital director and digital organizing director for the northeast in 2019 and 2020, and as digital director of the New Hampshire Democratic Coordinated Campaign in 2018.  She was a lead on Clinton’s digital content team in 2016, and also worked for a political consulting firm and a grassroots environmental advocacy group.

“Eisha is a bonafide star within the Democratic Party,” de Koninck said.  “She has led digital operations for the New Hampshire Democrats, the United States Department of Labor, and was a key component of the digital team that put Joe Biden over the top in the 2020 presidential election.”

Publitics has won national Reed and Pollie awards for its political communications products, including an independent expenditure for Gov. Phil Murphy’s 2021 re-election and for its work on the Biden campaign.   The firm has done work for Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D-Montclair) Montclair Mayor Sean Spiller, the New Jersey Education Association, and the Carpenters Action Trust.

“As a proud Jersey girl, I’m excited to join the Publitics team and continue to expand our Washington presence,” said Misra.  “It’s more critical than ever to communicate effectively across mediums on issues ranging from clean energy, to defending democracy.  We’re well positioned to counsel our clients through their biggest challenges.”

Misra’s hiring adds to Publitics’ Washington, D.C. presence.
