Seedy websites run by Lisa McCormick and James Devine are shut down

By David Wildstein, June 02 2021 10:25 am

An unsavory website operated by shadowy perennial candidate Lisa McCormick and her controversial life partner, James Devine, was suspended by its server late Tuesday after allegedly violating their terms of service.

McCormick, who was thrown off the ballot after a judge found her nominating petitions to be entirely fake, is still seeking the Democratic gubernatorial nomination as a write-in candidate.

Earlier today, the site was moved to a free WordPress site that includes attacks on several local politicians – all candidates in next week’s primary election.

While the site is back up on a new server, NJTODAY.NET has lost its archives after a redirect to a new domain name: njtodaynet.wordpress.com. Gone are stories under the byline of Amanda Rapace, whose name does not appear in any public records in New Jersey.

NJTODAY.NET presents itself as New Jersey’s oldest weekly newspaper.  McCormick is listed as the publisher, but Devine is widely known to be the writer behind the site.

Two other shady websites operated by McCormick and Devine, NJdems.com and LisaMcCormick.org, are still being listed as “account suspended.”
