Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Spadea has launched a new ad attacking rival Jack Ciattarelli for supporting tax increases and “handouts to illegals.”
In “Gracias,” the ad begins with a clip from President Donald Trump praising Spadea for having his back, and after alleging that Ciattarelli supported funding “illegals,” ends with a woman saying, “Gracias, Señor Jack.”
Script: “(Donald Trump) Bill, you’ve had my back from the beginning, and I really appreciate it. (Narrator) President Trump is right. Bill Spadea will take a chainsaw to Trenton spending and cut taxes for everyone over 55. Jack Ciattarelli – he raised taxes for 35 years. Higher income tax. Higher gas tax. Higher sales tax. Ciattarelli wants to raise your taxes to pay for his handouts to illegals. Jack Ciattarelli — higher taxes for you. Free handouts for them. (Woman) Gracias, Señor Jack.”
The ad was released prior to Trump endorsing Ciattarelli on Monday evening.
