New Jerseyans have cast 1,742,272 votes so far, a number that is rapidly increasing as county election officials continue to scan incoming vote-by-mail ballots for the November 3 general election.
That represents a 28.8% voter turnout among those eligible to receive mail-in ballots for this election as of noon today.
The number of eligible voters for the 2020 election has now increased to more than 6 million after last week’s voter registration deadline.
So far, 44% of the total number of ballots cast in the 2016 presidential election in New Jersey have been recorded as received. It’s 79% of all votes cast in the 2017 gubernatorial election.
The number has jumped almost 75% since last week.
