N.J. adds almost 211k Democrats, 117k Republicans since 2020 primary

New Jersey saw just minor changes since the May 18 voter registration deadline, adding 1,554 new voters during the last thirteen days of the month, according to the New Jersey Division of Elections.

While the deadline to vote in the June 8 primary has passed, new voters are permitted to register for future elections.

Through the end of May, New Jersey added 579 Democrats, 228 Republican and 743 unaffiliated voters.

The state now has 1,089,844 more Democrats than Republicans, and 120,752 more unaffiliateds – sometime referred to as independents – than Democrats.

Since the 2020 primary, New Jersey has added 357,251 new voters: 210,978 Democrats and 116,803 Republicans.
