Murphy stumps for Harris in New Hampshire

Gov. Phil Murphy was in New Hampshire today to campaign for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, joining local Democrats at a phone bank in Exeter.

An October 10 University of Massachusetts Lowell Center for Public Opinion poll shows Harris with a 9-point lead over Republican Donald Trump.

Polling also shows a New Hampshire gubernatorial race between Republican Kelly Ayotte, a former U.S. Senator, and Democrat Joyce Craig, the mayor of Manchester, within the margin of error. GOP incumbent Chris Sununu is not seeking re-election.

Murphy was accompanied by State Rep. Alexis Simpson, and former State Sen. Jon Morgan, who is seeking a seat on the New Hampshire Executive Council.

The two-term governor has been on the campaign trail as a Harris surrogate.
