Assemblywoman Aura Dunn (R-Mendham) has expanded her lead to 3,589 votes in a special election in the 25th district.

Dunn now leads, 52,500 to 48,911 against Democrat Darcy Draeger, 51.8% to 48.2% in the race to fill the unexpired term of Anthony M. Bucco (R-Mendham).

Bucco left the Assembly in October 2019 when Republicans sent him to the Senate following the death of his father.  Dunn won special elections to replace Bucco in 2019 and 2020.

Bucco has won a special election for the unexpired term.  He’s ahead 53.2% to 46.8%.

He leads Democrat Rupande Mehta, 52,411 to 46,024 – a plurality of 6,387.

Mehta and Draeger both led on election night.
