Christopher Flores ended his five-year stint as a deputy press secretary to U.S. Senator Bob Menendez on December 23 and will join the New Jersey Economic Development Authority as a senior advisor.

Flores began working for Menendez in 2016 as an intern while attending St. Peter’s University.  He took a full-time position in the senator’s Newark office after his graduation the following year.

“It’s been a pleasure to work alongside you on so many important issues,” Flores said.  “Working for the Senator for the past five years has been one of the greatest honors of my life.”

Michael Soliman, Menendez’s top political advisor in New Jersey, praised Flores’ tenure as an aide to the state’ senior senator.

“Chris has been a valued member of Senator Menendez’s team,” Soliman said.  “I have no doubt that his experience and commitment to serving the people of New Jersey will be a huge asset to the Murphy Administration and the NJEDA.”
