New Jersey State Troopers Fraternal Association President Wayne Blanchard has been elected first vice chairman of the National Troopers Coalition, positioning the veteran union leader to play an increasingly large role in national law enforcement issues.
“It’s an honor to know that my colleagues have the confidence in me to elect me to serve as first vice chairman,” Blanchard said. “The NTC is making a difference and has become a strong voice for our troopers and all Jaw enforcement nationwide, and I am excited and honored to be a part of the leadership team.”
William Legg, the second vice president of the NJSTFA, was re-elected to a third term as NTC’s east region coordinator.
Blanchard and Legg backed Nate Johnson, the head of the Michigan State Police Troopers Association, to serve as national chairman of the organization.
“Wayne has been a great partner representing the east region and the NTC as a key member of the legislative committee as we work to increase our engagement and presence in Washington D.C.,” Johnson stated.
Blanchard has headed the New Jersey union since 2018.
