Jerry W. Rajski, the father of Murphy administration official Scarlett Rajski, died on January 12.  He was 73.  An immigrant from Poland, Rajski worked at the General Motors plant in Linden for 30 years and was a correspondent for the Perth Amboy Gazette and The Post Eagle.  His son-in-law, Jeffrey Martin, is the mayor of Hamilton Township.

F. Michael Giles, who served as a New Jersey Superior Court Judge from 1991 to 2010, died on December 30.  He was 78.  Giles had served as president of the Garden State Bar Association.

Cynthia Robinson, whose father served as New Jersey State Treasurer under Gov. Alfred Driscoll and whose mother represented Morris County in the New Jersey Legislature, has died.  She was 86.  Walter Margetts was state treasurer from 1949 to 1954 and had been mentioned as Republican gubernatorial candidate.  Josephine Margetts was an assemblywoman from 1968 to 1974 and the only woman in the legislature during her first term.

William Carroll, a former Haddonfield planning board member who had once served as a councilman in Yardley, Pennsylvania, died on January 10.  He was 91.  Carrol was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
