Republican Senate nominee Curtis Bashaw attacked Rep. Andy Kim (D-Moorestown) on Monday, the third anniversary of an Afghanistan attack that killed 13 American servicemembers during the military withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Bashaw criticized Kim for supporting President Joe Biden’s plan to pull out of Afghanistan, which culminated in a bombing at Abbey Gate of the Kabul airport that killed the 13 Americans.
“We’ve seen first-hand the chaos around the world that has occurred as a result of the Biden-Harris Administration’s weak leadership, starting with the botched Afghanistan withdrawal,” Bashaw said in a release. “Yet, Andy Kim votes to support the Biden-Harris Administration’s dangerous policies 100% of the time, even saying Biden has shown a ‘mastery’ of foreign policy.”
Bashaw also pegged Vice President Kamala Harris to the attack, looking to tie the Democratic nominee to one of the most unpopular moments of Biden’s presidency.
“Now more than ever, New Jerseyans and Americans deserve a change from the dangerous foreign policy leadership of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris that Andy Kim continues to support in lock-step,” Bashaw said.
