Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh has endorsed Kamala Harris for president, giving her the support of the mayor of the state’s third-largest city and the highest-ranking Arab American population in New Jersey.
“Vice President Harris has the vision and leadership to unite our nation and move us forward, building on the progress we’ve made,” said Sayegh. “Her commitment to justice, equity, and democracy will ensure that we continue to advance rather than regress. We must unite to prevent Trump and his MAGA politics from taking America backwards.”
Sayegh is a delegate to the Democratic National Convention.
He praised Biden for “guiding us through the pandemic.”
“His decision not to seek a second term demonstrates his commitment to the greater good and the future of our country,” Sayegh stated. “I, along with millions of Americans, extend our heartfelt gratitude for his steadfast leadership and service.”
Sayegh is serving his second term as mayor of Paterson.
