Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is polling at zero percent nationally in a POLITICO/Morning Consult Republican presidential primary poll for 2024 released on Wednesday.

Christie’s national favorables are upside-down at 21%-43%, with 18% saying they have never heard of him.   That makes the former two-term governor and Trump supporter-turned-critic less popular than Elon Musk; the same poll puts Musk’s national favorables at 36%-46%.

The poll gives former President Donald Trump a 45%-30% lead over Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, with former Vice President Mike Pence polling third with 7%.

Ted Cruz is in fourth place with 3%, followed by Mitt Romney (2%), Nikki Haley (2%), Liz Cheney (2%), Josh Hawley (1%), Marco Rubio (1%), and Mike Pompeo (1%).

Of the 849 Republicans who responded to the poll, just three named Christie as their choice to run for President in two years.  Christie received the same response as Tim Scott, and two votes more than Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan; Hogan had endorsed Christie when he ran in 2016.

The poll was in the field from November 18-20 and has a margin of error of +/- 2%.
