Senate Majority Conference Leader Vin Gopal (D-Long Branch), Ciattarelli for Governor campaign manager Eric Arpert, and Micah Rasmussen, the director of the Rebovich Institute of New Jersey Politics at Rider University, joined host David Wildstein to on the New Jersey Globe Power Hour on Talk Radio 77 WABC on Saturday, September 25.

Gopal is serving his first term in the New Jersey State Senate.  He was elected in 2017, unseating three-term incumbent Jennifer Beck by a 54%-46% margin.  A former Monmouth County Democratic Chairman, Gopal is the chairman of the Senate Military and Veterans Affairs Committee.  At age 36, he is the youngest member of the New Jersey Senate.

A protégé of fabled former Burlington County GOP Chairman Glenn Paulsen, Arpert worked for Rep. Jon Runyan (R-Moorestown), then-State Sen. Sean Kean (R-Wall), the Republican National Committee and the Republican Governors Association.  He’s a graduate of George Washington University and Emory University Law School.

Rasmussen joined Rider University in 2018 after spending more than a decade as an adjunct professor of political science.  He served as press secretary to Gov. James E. McGreevey, managed several political campaigns, and held positions in the private and public sectors.
