U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Marcia Fudge will be in New Jersey on Thursday for her first official trip since joining President Joe Biden’s cabinet.
She’ll join Gov. Phil Murphy, U.S. Senator Cory Booker and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and Hoboken Mayr Ravi Bhalla to “mark 100 days of the Biden-Harris administration and the American Jobs Plan, according to her spokesperson, Meaghan Lynch.
Fudge will take part in a groundbreaking for the Rebuild by Design resiliency project in Hoboken, Murphy’s office said. HUD is spending $230 on the flood million flood mitigation project obtained in Sandy recovery funding.
Fudge served as a congresswoman from Ohio from 2008 until earlier this year, when the U.S. Senate confirmed her earlier this year.
