Former U.S. Senator Bob Torricelli and former New Jersey Gov. Donald DiFrancesco will join host David Wildstein to remember the terrorist events of September 11, 2001 on the New Jersey Globe Power Hour on Talk Radio 77 WABC on Saturday, September 11 at 4 PM.
Both men were major political figures on 9/11: Torricelli was in Washington as the senior United States Senator from New Jersey, and DiFrancesco was the state’s governor.
A former aide to Vice President Walter Mondale and Gov. Brendan Byrne, Torricelli unseated a three-term Republican congressman in 1982 to flip a Bergen/Hudson House seat. He was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1996.
DiFrancesco spent ten years as the New Jersey Senate President and became governor when Christine Todd Whitman resigned to join President George W. Bush’s cabinet. He was elected to the State Assembly in 1975, reclaiming two seats that went Democratic in the Watergate wave election two years earlier, and was elected to the State Senate in 1979.
Wildstein is the host of the New Jersey Globe.
